Cody Jones – Owner / Chief Executive Officer

With over 25 years of experience in law enforcement, including the past 14 years as the State of Texas’ leading authority on maritime law enforcement, Cody Jones has an extensive understanding of the complexities of the maritime environment.

A native Texan, Cody Jones brings more than 25 years of law enforcement experience to his role as Owner and CEO, including 14 years dedicated to advancing maritime law enforcement and boating safety with the Texas Game Warden program. Throughout his career, he has established himself as a nationally recognized leader focused on enhancing officer training, operational capabilities, and mission-ready equipment for those who patrol America’s waterways.

Jones has worked directly with leading marine manufacturers and industry partners to design, develop, and deliver some of the most advanced patrol vessels and safety equipment in service today. His hands-on leadership and operational insight have contributed to the successful build and deployment of an 80-foot All American Marine patrol vessel, two 42-foot Metalcraft Marine interceptor patrol boats, and a 33-foot Metal Shark Tactical Response vessel. In addition, he has collaborated on the development and field implementation of multiple First Watch personal flotation devices (PFDs), ensuring that frontline personnel are equipped with the highest standards of safety and performance. These projects reflect his unique ability to bridge the gap between end-user needs and industry innovation, resulting in purpose-built assets that enhance maritime security and response capabilities.

At the national level, Jones has held numerous leadership roles that have shaped policy, training, and operational standards across the maritime domain. He served as President of the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) from 2019 to 2020 and has been an active contributor on the U.S. Coast Guard’s Boating Safety Advisory Committee, helping drive meaningful advancements in boating safety, education, and regulatory effectiveness.

His extensive leadership experience within NASBLA includes chairing the Preparedness and Response Committee, established following the September 11 attacks, serving multiple terms on the Boat Operations and Training (BOAT) Advisory Board, acting as Executive Liaison to the Law Enforcement Committee, and vice-chairing the Engineering, Reporting and Analysis Committee. He has also contributed his expertise to national-level initiatives as a member of the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) Stakeholder Working Group, a subject matter expert for the FEMA Maritime Typing Working Group, and a contributor to both the National Water Safety Action Plan and the National Drowning Prevention Alliance’s Open/Natural Water Advisory Council. In Texas, he continues to support collaborative safety efforts as a member of the Texas Water Safety Coalition Leadership Team.

Jones holds a Bachelor of Science from Sul Ross State University and a Master’s degree in Public Safety Administration from the University of Virginia. He is also a graduate of the prestigious 282nd Session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, where he refined his leadership and strategic thinking alongside top law enforcement professionals from around the world.

As an innovator and practitioner, Jones has consistently pushed the boundaries of what is possible in maritime law enforcement. His work integrating advanced vessels, specialized equipment, and high-level training has positioned agencies to better address evolving security challenges, complex operational environments, and the growing demands of public safety on the water. Through his leadership, he continues to drive forward-thinking solutions that strengthen maritime readiness, officer safety, and mission success nationwide.
